PCC366 Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge with Stampin' Up! Free as a Bird

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  I've have been MIA with the Paper Craft Crew for a while now but I'm back and ready to dive in with a fun sketch challenge and the Free as a Bird stamp set from the Annual Catalog!

I have to admit.. I really am a bird person.  Whenever my hubby and I go on vacation, I'm always taking pictures of birds.  My card idea started with a piece of Purple Posy Cardstock but I had to admit that I wasn't sure if there were many birds that were lavender or purple.  So... of course I googled purple birds and found out that there are!

This little guy looked a lot like the little birds in the Free as a Bird stamp set so I went for it!

I used the floral and leaf images from the stamp set to make a background by stamping them with Versamark for a tone-on-tone look.  I used one of the Stampin' Up! Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut it into my background panel.  I layered that on a piece of Basic Black Cardstock and then adhered it to a Melon Mambo Cardstock.  I then stamped the birds on a branch image onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Gina K Designs Amalgam Ink and colored it with Zig Clean Color Markers.  The Bristol Smooth really allows the Zig Clean Color Markers to blend and it takes water really well.  Once the image was dry, I used one of the Stampin' Up! Stitched Nested Label Dies to cut it out.  *Currently The Stitched Nested Label Dies can be purchased with the Free as a Bird Stamp Set as a bundle! I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere to the layered card base.  I stamped the "hello" sentiment from the set with Versamark Ink onto Basic Black cardstock and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  I used Multipurpose adhesive to adhere the sentiment to the bird label die.  I added a Mini Dimensional to the left side that hung off of the label so support it.  Finally I added some Gold Glitter Enamel Dots that had been colored with a Melon Mambo Stampin' Blend and adhered them to the front of the card.  The Stampin' Blend alcohol markers dry so quickly that you can add them almost immediately to your card.

Honey Bee Bundle Stampin' Up! Again!

Hello and Happy Friyay!  Yep, it's Friday and it's pay day so it's definitely a Friyay!
I have another card to share with the adorable Stampin' Up! Honey Bee Bundle! and Golden Honey Specialty DSP!  I hope you love it as much as I do!

Here's the outside of the card which came together soooo easily!  I have an 11" x 4 1/4" inch Basic Black Cardbase scored at 5 1/2" for a top folding card.  I added a panel of the gorgeous Golden Honey Specialty DSP (free during sale-a-bration with a $50 purchase!) that was cut with one of the stitched rectangle dies.  I stamped the honey bees on whisper white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored in the yellow with Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends!  I used the coordinating dies to cut out the honey bees and then added a little clear Wink of Stella to the winks for some shine.  I stamped the sentiment with more of the Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whsiper White Cardstock and cut it with one of the Stitched Nested Label Dies.  I used a scrap of more of the Golden Honey Special DSP (black and gold stripe) to cut the little gold stripe that I adhered to my card panel prior to adding the sentiment die cut with dimensionals.  I love how the gold looks layered under it!  Finally I added 3 gold glitter enamel dots and a scrap of Black and Gold Twine to finish off the outside of my card.

Here's a look at the inside of my card.  I stamped the sentiment onto a stitched rectangle Whisper White panel and adhered it to the middle of the inside.  I stamped the honey bee onto a scrap of Whisper White with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with my Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends as I did the other honey bees.  I added some clear Wink of Stella to the center under the sentiment with Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive.

Stampin' Up! Country Club Suite, Club House Bundle!

Hello and Happy Sunday!  I hope you are having a fabulous day!  I've taken a couple of days to decompress after the Christmas Holidays.  My husband is working this weekend so I had a lot of time to make cards and it was sooo much fun since I had new products!  One of the best advantages of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is having the opportunity to preorder.  The new Occassions Catalog is so fun of fun products that you will love and will be available to non-demonstrators on January 3rd!  One of my favorite new suites is the Country Club Suite!  If you struggle with masculine cards, this is a great suite to get you started!  Both my hubby and my step-son love to golf so this suite will get used a LOT!  The Desginer Series Paper is awesome as is the coordinating set of twine!

Here's my first card using the Country Club Suite...

The images are very easy to color because they have already done the shading for you!  Those are my favorite type of images!  I love the coordinating twine and love the fact that you can unravel the edges to give you a cool look!  Isn't the DSP so pretty in the background!

And for the inside, here's what I came up with....

I absolutely LOVE the sentiments in this set!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings to you for the new year!  Tina

SIP Challenge #207 - Holidays with Stampin' Up! Perfectly Plaid and Tiny Keepsakes

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are back into the swing of every day life again!  I was off work from Wednesday through Sunday and it was super hard to get up on Monday morning and back to work!

This week over at Stamp, Ink, Paper we have a Holidays theme challenge.  I tried to make some card this year that were a little more clean and simple than what I normally make.  Here's what I came up with using the Perfectly Plaid Bundle and the Tiny Keepsakes Stamp Set.

I used the Tiny Keepsakes stamp set to stamp the little plaid background squares.  They were stamped in Real Red onto Whisper White and then cut out with the stitched squares from the Stitched Shape Dies.  I mounted them on a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" square card.  I stamped the tree from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set in Shaded Spruce and used the 2 step coordinating stamp to fill in the color of the leaves.  I punched it out with the coordinating punch.  I added some red metallic thread behind the trees with dimensionals and added it to the center of my card.  I stamped the sentiment and cut it into a small rectangle and added it to the bottom of the tree and then finished it off with three green sequins.  So simple but super cute and easy to make!  I've listed the supplies below if interested!

SIP #206 Stamp, Ink, Paper Thanks Card Challenge

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  It's time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge and I was determined to use a stamp or two from my stash that I hadn't used before!

I actually used 3 products that I hadn't used befoe!  First I used two older products from Hero Arts that I honestly think they don't even carry anymore... The Hero Arats Bamboo Background Stamp and the Color Layering Koala Stamp Set.  At least I combined them with a NEW product.. and it's one of my favorites... The Concord & 9th Tall-Type Alphabet!  If you are a fan of the Rae Dunn Craze like I am, you'll love this awesome Long Letter Aphabet!!!!  Oh my when I saw this new Alphabet set from Concord & 9th I was soooo excited!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

SIP #205 - Color Challenge with Unity Stamp Co. Fall To Go and Rustic Textiles Patterned Paper

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  Challenge #205 over at Stamp, Ink, Paper is a Color Challenge that is perfect for your fall or Thanksgiving Cards!

Since I'm all about Coffee, I decided to pull out my Unity Stamp Co. Fall To Go Stamp Set and paired it with the awesome Unity Rustic Textiles Patterned Paper!

I cut apart the sentiment "Grateful Thankful Blessed" so that I could use just the Blessed.  I wanted as much of that gorgeous Patterned Paper to show.  Actually the Blessed would have fit in the bottom section of the Coffee Cup Image but I chose to stamp it seperately this time.  I used Stampin' Up! Stampin' Blends to color in the Orange (Pumpkin Pie), Red (Cherry Cobbler) and Brown (Crumb Cake) in the image.  I used a Stampin' Up! Stitched Rectangle to cut the image out and then backed it with a Soft Suede Cardstock layer.  It then layered on the beautiful plaid patterned paper and was mounted on an A2 Card Base made of Soft Suede Cardstock.
