OSAT Shabby Chic or Boho Blog Hop February 2023

Hello and Welcome to the February 2023 One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop!  This month's theme is Shabby Chic or Boho!  I decided to go with Boho for my Card and Tag and used the Plentiful Plants and the Perfect Plants Dies!

I used a much softer color palette than usual but I really love how it turned out.  The card base was Pool Party, the background was Basic White embossed with the Cane Weave 3D Embossing folder and adhered to another layer of Basic White.  The sentiment was stamped with Pear Pizzazz Ink on Soft Sea Foam Cardstock.

I love the natural tones along with the white crinkled seam binding and linen thread.  I added three adhesive-backed milky dots to finish it off.

The inside turned out super cute as well.  The natural weave layer behind the plant was a die cut from the Share a Milkshake Die Set.

My tag was cut from the Tailor Made Tag Dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Make sure you check out all of this month's inspiration by clicking the name directly under mine on the below blog roll!

OSAT Blog Hop April 2021 Say What - Emphasis On Sentiment

Hi There Crafty Friends!  I'm super excited to be with the One Stamp At a Time Blog Hop Team with a Say What Project!  This theme is all about the sentiment and I knew exactly what stamp set I wanted to concentrate on for today's card!  I always need Thank You card and my very favorite stamp set "Ornate Thanks" is the perfect set for all types of Thank You sentiments!  I love Photopolymer Stamp Sets especially for sentiments!  This is one set I'll keep forever!

I used my Stampartus to stamp some diagonal sentiments tone-on-tone with just the right placement on my Pool Party background.  After I was pleased with the background stamping, I cut the panel with one of my stitched rectangle dies and then embossed it with the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder.  That layer was matted with the soon to be retired Pretty Peacock Cardstock.  Next, I used one of my Blending Brushes to ink blend some Pretty Peacock at the top of a strip of Pool Party Cardstock creating a Ombre effect by blending darker at the top of the strip.  Using the Playful Alphabet Dies I cut "THANKS" out once on the Ink Blended Strip and twice more in scraps of Pool Party so that I could build up the word to stand out more on my background.  I used Multipurpose Adhesive to adhere the layers of letters together and then used a T-Ruler to get a straight placement of the letters to adhere to the card panel with more of the glue.  Once all letters were placed, I added some Spritzes of Frost White Shimmer Paint mixed with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol for some fabulous Shimmer!

Here's a close of that Shimmery goodness!!  So pretty!  If you haven't tried the Shimmer Paint.. you really need to jump on the band wagon!  So Pretty!  I finished the matted layer off by adding some of the beautiful Pool Party 3/8" Sheer Ribbon around the panel tying it a bow on the right side of the card.  The panel was then added to the Pool Party A2 Cardbase with Dimensionals.  Last but certainly not least, I added three of the gorgeous Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems.

Finally, I added a little treat holder...

I used the gorgeous Fine Art Floral DSP along with the Mini Curvy Keepsake Box Dies.  The label was punched in Pretty Peacock Cardstock with the Label Me Fancy Punch.  I added a Pool Party Tasteful Labels Diecut stamped with a sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set.  The little flower was from the coordinating Hydrangea Dies.  I added the tag with some Pool Party 3/8" Sheer Ribbon and a Blue Adhesive-Backed Gem in the middle of the flower.  Super simple and so cute!

Pre-Order is in! With Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle from the new 2020 - 2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog

Hi Friends!  I finally had just a little time to play with some of my new Pre-Order Goodies!

Since I didn't have the new In Colors Inks yet (they weren't in the warehouse in time for pre-order!), I decided to use Mango Melody and Pretty Peacock on this one and loved the combination.  It was certainly a color combination I would never have thought of.

Here's what I came up with for a pretty quick card.

I don't really have any idea what made me pair Pretty Peacock with Mango Melody but I really love it!  Do you know what else I LOVE ?? .... it's the gorgeous Old World Paper 3D Embossing folder!!!  Such texture that folder gives to the background!  I know this will be a favorite and get a LOT of use!   For the sunflower, here's what I did that I would not do next time.  I stamped the Sunflower with Mango Melody Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock.  That was silly because then I had to color it in with my Blends.  The next time I will definitely stamp onto colored cardstock and save the step of coloring.  I did the same with the leaves... so I'll know better next time!  I love the look of adding the adhesive towards the center of the flower and leaving the die cut petals pulled out from the flower.. it really gives it such a pretty look!  This is just the first of many cards.. I'll learn as I go!

Thanks for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

Brand New Stampin' Up! Ornate Garden Suite coming soon!

Hi There.  I'm not sure about how the craziness of the Covid-19 Virus has been in your neck of the woods but here in Middle Tennessee, it has been crazy!  Most of the local groceries are out of just about everything!  Luckily I took off work on Friday and went to the grocery store early before it got too bad.  The only thing that was missing in the store then was liquid soap, all sanitizing cleaners, toilet paper and paper towels.  I'm soooo happy I went to the store when I did!

Since this past weekend was Jeff's weekend off and although I really wanted the chance to play with some brand new Stampin' Up! goodies, I spent some quality time with him instead.  Today we both returned to work.  I got home at around 4:30pm and since he works until 8:00pm, it was the perfect time to do a little crafting.  Have you heard about the brand new Ornate Garden Suite?  It is available to Demonstrators now and will be available to customers on April 1st!  It is an Early Release of a suite that will be in the new 2020 - 2021 Annual Catalog and is absolutely fabulous!  I was so excited to play around with it a little today!

I plan on playing a little more later in the week but here is my first card...

There are actuallly two bundles in this suite.  I used both the Ornate Thanks Bundle and the Ornate Style Bundle.  I also used the beautiful Ornate Gardens Specialty DSP and the Ornate Garden Ribbon (it comes in a combo pack of Terracotta Tile and Old Olive... I used the Terra Cotta Tile).  I also used Terracotta Tile and Old Olive Ink and the Sprig Punch.

I have sooo many ideas for the suite so I'm sure I'll be posting more cards soon!  If you want to get your hands on this suite prior to April 1st, I'd love for you to join Stampin' Up! under me.  I'm currently working on team building so feel free to contact me any time.

SIP #206 Stamp, Ink, Paper Thanks Card Challenge

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  It's time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge and I was determined to use a stamp or two from my stash that I hadn't used before!

I actually used 3 products that I hadn't used befoe!  First I used two older products from Hero Arts that I honestly think they don't even carry anymore... The Hero Arats Bamboo Background Stamp and the Color Layering Koala Stamp Set.  At least I combined them with a NEW product.. and it's one of my favorites... The Concord & 9th Tall-Type Alphabet!  If you are a fan of the Rae Dunn Craze like I am, you'll love this awesome Long Letter Aphabet!!!!  Oh my when I saw this new Alphabet set from Concord & 9th I was soooo excited!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

PCC327 Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge with Stampin' Up! Animal Outing

Happy Hump Day!  We are half way through the work week!  That's a super big YAY!!  Since it is Wednesday, that of course means it's time for another Paper Craft Crew Challenge.  This week's sketch was a fun one!

Now I have to tell the absolute truth,,,,, This was the EASIEST card ever!!!

Have you ever been late to a party?  Well that's exactly how I feel about the Animal Outing Bundle by Stampin' Up!  This was in the Stampin' Up! catalog that was released in June and I just now bought it!  The reason this was sooooo super easy is that the coordinting Animal Friends Thinlits Dies cut out some of the animals in the Animal Expedition DSP!  That adorable Elephant was cut from the DSP perfectly with the die!  I also cout out a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the same die to back it and add a little stability before I attached it to my cardfront with Dimensionals.
I love it so much that I'm pretty sure I may buy some of that DSP!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!  Blessings, Tina

SIP #169 Background Stamp Challenge with Concord & 9th Thankful Leaves Bundle

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  I've been a bit under the weather the last few days but am finally beginning to feel a bit better!  I thought about taking the week off from crafting but I loved the new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge so much I decided to get in gear and get a card made!

I LOVE background stamps and one of my new favorites are the turnabout background stamps from Concord & 9th!  This Thankful Leaves Turnabout and coordinating dies are awesome!!

My stamping was done on SU Whisper White Cardstock with Merry Merlot, Grapefruit Grove, Mango Melody, and Daffodil Delight!  The stitched panel was adhered to a Grapefruit Grove layer and then put on a Merry Merlot Cardbase.  The leaf was cut in the same colors.  The "thanks" die cut sentiment is from the Fabulous Phrases Die set from Concord & 9th.  I cut it out in Merry Merlot twice and backed it with a layer of white so that it would show up more over the skeleton leaf.

Here's how I finished up the inside:

The You are the best sentiment on the inside is from a Simon Says Stamp Stamp Set  called "You Matter"  I added two of the leaves and a paint splatter stamped at the bottom right in Merry Merlot and Grapefruit Grove to finish this one off.
