PCC #305 Sketch Challenge with Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit August 2018

Hello and Happy Hump Day!  I'm over with my friends at the Paper Craft Crew with my take on a new sketch and using some new My Monthly Hero Kit Stamps and Dies!

My friends know how excited I was when I received my Hero Arts August kit because this is all about coffee and I LOVE all things coffee!

There are sooooo many coffee images in this cool set and just as many super cool sentiments!  I stamped my coffee image in Versafile Black Ink onto Bristol Smooth Cardstock and then clear embossed it.  I used Zig Clean Color Markers to color it!  I love how the zig clean color blends on Bristol Smooth... so beautiful for an amateur watercolorer like me!

SIP Challenge #165 Something For Baby with Concord & 9th August Release!

Hi Friends!  Happy Tuesday!  I hope your week is off to an awesome start!  This week over at Stamp, Ink, Paper we have a Something for Baby Challenge!

I decided to go a little non-traditional for this card and used some awesome new stuff from the Concord & 9th August Release

What can be happier than welcoming a new baby in the world?  I decided to use the So Happy For You Bundle for my floral hoop and flowers!  The Oh Happy Day die cut is from the Top It Off Bundle and the background was stamped with the Shiplap Sentiments Stamp Set!  What a bunch of awesome new products!  I LOVE the Shiplap!  Of course I'm all about Fixer Upper, Chippy Paint, Shiplap and Farmhouse Decor!  The flowers, leaves, and sprigs from the So Happy For You Bundle as just beautiful!  I feel sure I'll use that bundle a lot as well!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

SIP #164 - Use Your Scraps!!!

Hello friends!  Oh my goodness I LOVE this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge!  Who doesn't have scraps that they have saved and need to use!

I have soooo many Patterned Paper Scraps so I decided to go with a Starburst/Sunburst Card!   Such a fun and super easy technique.

I started with a Whisper White panel that measured 4" x 5 1/4" that I planned on using on a top folding card.  I scored 2 inches up from the bottom for my starting point.  I took some scraps from my Winter in the Woods Stack (this has been one of my favorite paper stacks).  My scraps were from a 6" paper stack so I cut them at 1 1/2" and then cut them diagonally on my paper trimmer.  I started them with the tips touching the scored line at 2" and used Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive to adhere them.  After I had everything glued on I turned the panel over and used my paper snips to cut off the over hang.  I ran another scrap of the coordinating patterned paper on the bottom and then ran a piece of black ribbon across the seam.  The sentiment "Merry & Bright" was another scrap that was cut with a stitched circle die and popped up with dimensionals over the ribbon.  I used a scrap of black and gold twine to tie a bow around the black ribbon on the left side.  This was seriously one of the most full of scraps cards I have ever made!  If you've never tried this type of card it is absolutely a lot of fun and a great way to use up scraps!

Have a wonderful day!  Thanks for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

PCC302 Sketch Challenge Concord & 9th Stuck On You Bundle

Hello and Happy Hump Day!  So I did a thing I haven't done in a couple of weeks..... I finally got back over with my friends at Paper Craft Crew and made a design team card for a challenge!  Yep... I know I've been M.I.A. for a while but I'm trying to get back in the groove.

I decided to go with a pretty simple card again.  I am still in love with my Concord & 9th Stuck On You Bundle.  I love all things cacti... :)

I ALWAYS need birthday cards and I'm really trying to build up my card supply so I went this the Hope Your Birthday Is On Point sentiment!  :)  I did a little Distress Ink Blending on my background and layered in a planter and cactus that I had previously made and stashed in my stamp bundle pocket.  Do you do that?  I love to make multiples and then stash the extras away with my stamp set.  It sure makes quick cardmaking easy!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Blessings, Tina

Stamp, Ink, Paper #162 Stamp Layering with Concord & 9th Hi There Bear!

We're baaaaaacccckkkk!  Well Stamp, Ink, Paper is!  We finally took care of the technical difficulties to get back up and running!  What a fun challenge we have this week.... Stamp Layering!

Sometimes you need a quick card and Concord & 9th Hi There Bear really is a good choice for some quick stamp layering!

I don't know what it is about bears but I just love them.. brown bears, black bears, panda bears.. you name the bear, I love them!  I think this Hi There Bear bundle is an adorable set to use for a quick get well card.  The bear uses stamp layering as does the umbrella on this one.  I did just a little quick ink blending with distress inks for the background, stamped the sentiment, and added the stamp layered and die-cut bear and umbrella to finish it off.

Sometimes the simple things in life really are the best!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Blessings, Tina

PCC #300 Sketch Challenge with Stampin' Up! Follow Your Dreams

Hello and Happy Hump Day!  I hope you are having a great week and if not at least the work week is half over!  Yay for that!  I'm over with the Paper Craft Crew with my take on a sketch challenge!

You know I rarely use a sketch just as is.. I'm sorry I just can't help but turn it on it's side, upside down or something most every time!  lol

This time I turned it on it's side.  I used a piece of patterned paper from Altenew for my card front that went about a half inch from the top of the SU Elegant Eggplant card base.  I added a thin strip of Daffodil Delight Cardstock because I knew I wanted some yellow on the flowers and wanted to draw that color back in.  The "dream" die cut from the Chase Your Dreams coordinating dies was cut in Elegant Eggplant twice and stacked. .. I really looks black in the picture but I promise it is purple!
The dream catcher was cut from a piece of watercolor paper that I had lying around that I had made a background using Brusho Crystal Colour.  The flowers from the Follow Your Dreams Stamp Set were stamped in waterproof black ink and colored with Zig Clean Color Markers.  I finished this one off with a few Rainbow Gems from Lucy's Little Things.

SIP #160 Color Challenge!

Hi there!  Hope you're having a great day!  So you may or may not have noticed that we've been having technical issues over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Blog!  This week's challenge is supposed to be a color challenge IF we get the blog up and running again!  I'm going to link to the SIP blog post just in case!  If it doesn't work then let's just pretend I'm sharing a card! :)

I'm in love with these new goodies from Concord & 9th!  The July 2018 C&9 release was awesome!

So first of all I used these awesome Dipped-Dyed Cards and Envelopes... they are sooo pretty and 4 awesome colors.  I chose the navy because it was one of the challenge colors for this week!  Next let me tell you how cool the Laurel Frame Bundle is!!  There are soooo many cool pieces that come with the framelits... I think it's one of my favorite sets!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina
