Hi There! It's time for another One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! This month's theme is all about New Annual Catalog Products! What an amazing time for some inspiration from Stampin' Up! For my card and project, I used the Jar of Flowers Stamp Set and the beautiful Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper in Misty Moonlight .... one of my new favorite colors!
I started out with an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of Misty Moonlight Cardstock, scored at 4 1/4". I used the 2nd from the largest of the stitched rectangles to cut a panel of the beautiful Flowers for Every Season DSP. I matted it in Whisper White and love how it pops against the beautiful Misty Moonlight Cardstock! I had a small scrap of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper in woodgrain that I sponged in Soft Suede ink and adhered to the bottom of the stitched rectangle panel. I ran a piece of White Faux Linen Ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack around the matted panel and tied it in a knot on the left front. I attached it to the Card Base with Dimensionals. I stamped the jar and the flowers from the Jar of Flowers Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto some Whisper White Cardstock. Inside the jar, I also stamped the flower stems in Tuxedo Black and the half jar of water was stamped in Seaside Spray Ink that was first stamped off on scrap paper to have a lighter color of water. I felt like the 2nd generation Seaside Spray went well with Misty Moonlight! I used light and dark Daffodil Delight, light and dark Granny Apple Green, light Night of Navy and dark Balmy Blue to color in the flowers and leaves. The jar was punched out .... Yay! And then came the hard part... fussy cutting the flowers with my Paper Snips.. Ugh! After fussy cutting, I used the side of my Basic Black Stampin Write Marker to add some black to the edges of the image to cover all of my cutting mistakes! lol I popped up the jar and flowers onto my cardfront with Dimensionals. I used the Many Mates stamp set for the sentiment on the front and inside the card. The outside sentiment was cut out with the Stitched Banner die from the Tasteful Labels dies. Those dies are amazing! I used dimensionals to pop up the banner on the side of the card and liquid adhesive on the part of the banner that ran over the jar.
Here's the inside that was super simple...
I added the Celebrate sentiment from the same Many Mates stamp set and a thin strip of the same Flowers for Every Season DSP to the bottom to finish it off.
For my project, I went super simple as well..
My little treat holder is super simple...
To make the treatholder, I started with a 6" x 6" piece of Flowers For Every Season DSP and scored at 2" and 4" on both sides. I cut up on both the right and left scores leaving the middle without cuts.
I pulled up the sides until they met at a point and added a staple. I then added some Braided Burlap Trim with another staple but you can use Jute or anything sturdy to attach to the little treat holder.
Finally to finish it off I added a piece of Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon around the treat holder adhering it in a few plces with glue dots and tying it in a bow on the front. I added some white shredded paper to the inside to finish it off.
