ICS Blog Hop - Fall Fun

Hello and Welcome to Inspire, Create & Share's Fall Fun Blog Hop!  If you have already been hopping, you should have landed here from the awesome blog of Joni Metras and I would like to thank you for continuing on!  If you've started here, please make sure you click the Next button at the end of the post for some awesome Inspiration by our Bloggers!

I decided to use my Cookie Cutter Halloween set for this card but I wanted a field of grain for my scarecrow to stand in and of course, he needed a pole!  For my grain, I used one of the stamps from Jar of Love and stamped it in Delightful Dijon both in full color and in second generation stamping.  I also alternated stamping on and off the cardstock so that it was different heights.  After stamping, I sponged some Daffodil Delight Ink onto the bottom portion of my Whisper White layer.  I also sponged some Soft Sky Ink onto the top portion of this layer lightly in the middle and darker around the edges.  I made my pole by stamping the woodgrain from the Timeless Textures stamp set in Soft Suede ink onto Crumb Cake Cardstock.  I then cut a strip at about 1/4" wide x 3" long for the pole  .  I adhered it to my stamped layer with fast fuse.  I stamped my Scarecrow and Bird onto Watercolor Paper with Black Archival Ink. I then watercolored the scarecrow with Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Delightful Dijon, Crumb Cake and Pumpkin Pie ink. I punched him out with the coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  I fussy cut the bird and then attached them both with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from Acorny Thank You in Black Archival Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and cut it out with the Lots of Labels Framelits Dies.  I sponged the edges of it with Daffodil Delight Ink and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals as well.

ICS Blog Hop #imbringingbirthdaysback

Hello! It's ICS blog hop time! Our theme is #‎imbringingbirthdays‬back inspired by Shannon West, one of the trainers at Stampin' Up! She posted on her facebook page in January that social media had ruined the good old fashioned birthday card and she was bringing them back this year!  Shannon also carved out a stamp to use on her cards. Well let me tell you the idea really caught on.  I'm sure the post office is loving her! Stampin' Up! took that carved stamp and made one we could all have too!  I'm stamping the back of my envelopes with that stamp for all of my birthday cards! :)  Well, I'm so glad you stopped by today!  I am totally on board with bringing birthdays back and so excited to be working on my stash of birthday cards so they are ready to send out!  If you have already been hopping you should have landed here from my friend Megan's blog!  If you missed it, make sure you hop through and check it out!!

Today's card is for my sweet friend, Suzi!  She and I LOVE coffee and any chance to go for coffee, is a good day so of course I had to make a coffee themed card for her, right??

For my card, I started off with an A2 Melon Mambo card base.  Next I stamped the bottom of a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White cardstock with the woodgrain looking stamp from the "Timeless Textures" stamp set in Sahara Sand ink. This stamp set is quickly becoming one of my favorites!  I used Early Espresso ink to stamp the coffee rings and the splatters (also from the Timeless Textures stamp set).  Some of the splatters and rings were stamped off on scrap paper prior to stamping on the bottom of my cardstock.  I added a 4" x 4 1/4" piece of the "Have a cuppa DSP stack" to the top portion of my card.  I cut a piece of the tea lace doily and attached to the "table" with snail.  Then I ran a piece of 1/8" Bermuda Bay stitched ribbon along the edge seperating the table from the wall.  I used more of the "Have a cuppa DSP stack" to cut out my cups with the Cups and Kettle Framelits Dies.  I adhered the top one first with snail, the middle with snail and glue dots, and the bottom one with dimensionals.  The spoon was cut out in Smoky Slate cardstock and sponged on the edges with Sahara Sand Ink and it was attached with glue dots.   The sentiment from the "Balloon Celebration" stamp set was stamped in Melon Mambo onto Whisper White cardstock and then cut apart and glued onto the card front randomly.  on the left side of the cups.  The "coffee" sentiment had a banner end cut with the Triple Banner Punch and a few splatters were stamped onto the Whisper White with Sahara Sand Ink for a subtle look.  Last but not least I added three white Enamel Dots randomly on the front.

Here is the inside of my card

I stamped the inside sentiment from the "Balloon Celebration" stamp set also in Melon Mambo onto Whisper White Cardstock.  You can't have coffee without cake, right??  The coffee ring and splatters were stamped on the lower left side with Sahara Sand Ink.

We can't forget the envelope, right?

I stamped more of the coffee rings and splatters on the front of the envelope on the bottom left in Sahara Sand Ink

I used the Envelope Liner Framelits dies to cut out a liner with more of the Have a Cuppa DSP.  And of course.. I stamped the back with my #imbringingbirthdaysback stamp in Melon Mambo Ink.

OSAT Blog Hop - Spring Has Sprung!

Hello and welcome to the March One Stamp at a Time Blog Hop!  This month's theme is Spring Has Sprung and man has it ever here in Tennessee!  With temps in the 70's lately, it's really beginning to feel a LOT like Spring!  If you've already been hopping along you should have landed here from the awesome blog of Anna Smith!   Anna is amazing and has such fun and unique projects!!

My husband and I have five granddaughters and will soon have our 6th!   This time of year, I'm always working on Easter Cards for the girls so I took this opportunity to do not only a card  but also a little basket for one of them... don't ask which one this is for because I don't know yet.  lol  I've found that they pay close attention to what the others get so I try to make their gifts similar.

For my card I started with a 11" x 4 1/4" piece of Pink Pirouette that was scored at 5 1/2".  The front layer is a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Sahara Sand Cardstock that had been stamped at the bottom with the wood grain stamp from Timeless Textures stamp set in Tip Top Taupe.  Over the top of that layer I added a 4" x 4 1/4" piece of Botanical Gardens DSP.  At the top of the woodgrain portion, I added a cut piece of a Tea Lace Doily.  My little pink "basket" is a piece of Pink Pirouette that has been cut with a piece of the Curvy Keepsake Die.   After cutting the portion out, I cut out a circle with one of my circle framelit dies.   I then ran it through the Big Shot with a Darice Basket Weave Embossing Folder.   I stamped the rabbit face and ears from the Friends & Flowers stamp set onto Whisper White Cardstock with Blushing Bride Ink.  The ears were punched out with the Festive Flower Builder Punch.  The bunny face was cut out with one of the circle thinlit dies.   I used a larger white circle for the bunny's body and then stuck some Easter Basket grass in the basket and adhered to the inside with glue dots.  The basket was attached to the front of the card with Foam Tape.  The Happy Easter sentiment was stamped in Mint Macaron on /Whisper White Cardstock with the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  I used the Banner Punch to punch the ends of the tag and 1/8" circle punch to punch a tiny hole in the other end.  Linen thread was threaded through the tiny hole to  attach the sentiment to the handle of the little basket.  I then ran a piece of 1/4" whisper white cotton ribbon across the top of the "table" portion and knotted it on the left side of my card.  Wow.. that was a change!  I almost always knot to the right side of my card! lol

My basket was cut with the Bigz Berry Basket Die.  Instead of cutting two pieces of it out, I cut out a third piece to make the basket a rectangle instead of a square.  I wanted it to hold a tad bit more candy.  I added a little bunny head just as I had stamped and punched out for my card.  I used a glue dot to attached to the top edge of the basket.  I used cream flower trim that I purchased from Hobby Lobby to run around the edge of the basket as well as across the handle of the basket.  All five of our granddaughters are very "girly" so I know they'll love the flower trim :)

I hope you enjoyed my card and basket and will continue on for some more inspiration.  Next up is my sweet friend AJ!  She is absolutely Fabulous and you will adore what she has for you!  Just click the next button and you'll be there!  Enjoy!
