SIP #137- Tic Tac Challenge SU Jar of Love

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  Are you having a wonderful week so far?  I sure hope so.  I'm soooo ready for warm weather so once again my card has flowers.  Do we feel a theme here?  lol  Today I'm back over with the rest of the Design Team at Stamp, Ink, Paper with a card for a new Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. Here's the Challenge Graphic for you to check out...

I went straight accross the bottom row with Punch, Woodgrain and Embossing!

First of all, how cool are punches... I mean really they are awesome!  So I have to tell you that one of my favorite new punches is the Tailored Tag Punch!  It is fabulous with the True Gentleman Suite  but as you see here.. there are soooooooo many possibilities!  I used the Jar of Love Stamp and Everyday Jar Framelits to create this card.  The "Hello" sentiment from the Everyday Jar Framelits fit perfectly in the middle of this punch!  Of course I heat embossed the sentiment first in Gold and then punched it out so that it lined up perfectly!  My flowers from the set were stamped in Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral (full strength and stamped off).  The leaves were Emerald Envy.  I think Emerald Envy is my new favorite green!  I also added a small die cut in gold mirror cardstock that peeked out the left side.  I added three small sequins and finished them off with a small pearl inside each of the sequins.  I adhered my flowers and punch onto a panel of the Wood Textures DSP stack.  My card base was one of the Tutti Frutty Card Bases and Envelopes in Calyso Coral.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

ICS Blog Hop - Fall Fun

Hello and Welcome to Inspire, Create & Share's Fall Fun Blog Hop!  If you have already been hopping, you should have landed here from the awesome blog of Joni Metras and I would like to thank you for continuing on!  If you've started here, please make sure you click the Next button at the end of the post for some awesome Inspiration by our Bloggers!

I decided to use my Cookie Cutter Halloween set for this card but I wanted a field of grain for my scarecrow to stand in and of course, he needed a pole!  For my grain, I used one of the stamps from Jar of Love and stamped it in Delightful Dijon both in full color and in second generation stamping.  I also alternated stamping on and off the cardstock so that it was different heights.  After stamping, I sponged some Daffodil Delight Ink onto the bottom portion of my Whisper White layer.  I also sponged some Soft Sky Ink onto the top portion of this layer lightly in the middle and darker around the edges.  I made my pole by stamping the woodgrain from the Timeless Textures stamp set in Soft Suede ink onto Crumb Cake Cardstock.  I then cut a strip at about 1/4" wide x 3" long for the pole  .  I adhered it to my stamped layer with fast fuse.  I stamped my Scarecrow and Bird onto Watercolor Paper with Black Archival Ink. I then watercolored the scarecrow with Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Delightful Dijon, Crumb Cake and Pumpkin Pie ink. I punched him out with the coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  I fussy cut the bird and then attached them both with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from Acorny Thank You in Black Archival Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and cut it out with the Lots of Labels Framelits Dies.  I sponged the edges of it with Daffodil Delight Ink and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals as well.

Next up on the Hop is the fabulous Tammy Dunlap.  Just click the Next button and you'll be there!

SIP Challenge #55 - Sketch Challenge!

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  I hope your week is fabulous!  I enjoyed a really nice long and relaxing weekend with my Hubby.  Sometimes it's nice to just do a lot of nothing!  lol  We did grill out and watch some Cardinals baseball!  Jeff and I usually go to a Cardinals game or two each year but last year came and went without a trip to St. Louis at all.  We did manage to make a Spring Training game in Florida over the summer though!

So since it is Tuesday, I'm back over at Stamp, Ink, Paper with my take on a fun sketch!

http://stampinkpaper.com/2016/07/sip-challenge-55-a-sketch-from-sandy/

Here is my card.. of course I had to skew it just a bit.. lol

I started with an 11" x 4 1/4" piece of Basic Black Cardstock that was scored at 5 1/2".  I added a strip of retired floral DSP that measured 5 1/2" x 3 1/4".  I ran a piece of Black Stitched Satin ribbon across the front and knotted it on the left side.  I cut two MFT Stitched Rounded Rectangles Stax.. The larger in Old Olive and the smaller in Calypso Coral.  I also cut out the Medium Jar shape out of the Calypso Coral layer with my new Everyday Jars Framelits Dies.  I stamped the sentiment from the Jars of Love Stamp Set onto the front of a piece of Acetate with Jet Black Stazon Ink.  The jar image was stamped on Whisper White Cardstock.  I used the new Foam Adhesive Strips to adhere the Acetate to the back of the Calypso Coral layer.  I added some light pink and clear heart confetti to the inside of the shaker jar.  I then used the heart strip that comes with the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies to cut a strip of Old Olive and Calypso Coral hearts to add to the front jar and card.  I think it turned out really cute.  I was super excited to get this bundle yesterday so yes, of course, I had to use it!  I have a pretty extensive list of "must haves" from the new Stampin' Up! Catalog!  lol
