SIP Challenge #48 - Color Challenge!

Hello and Welcome!  Since today is Tuesday it's, of course, time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Take a look at this awesome color combination!

Well as usual Pool Party took me straight to water.. lol  So water took me to the lake, the lake took me to East Tennessee because my daughter lives there are she and her hubby love to go to the lake on the weekends.  Stay with me here... East Tennessee took me to brown bears and of course Chocolate Chip makes an awesome bear!  So what to do with the Calypso Coral.. I went to salmon with that.  I know, crazy, right??  Here's my card!

For the sponging, I took a sheet of notebook paper and torn it to use as a guide to sponge my hills.  You know there are a LOT of Hills in the Knoxville area, right??  I used Wild Wasabi ink for the hills, Pool Party for the water, and Sahara Sand on the bottom for the ground.  My bear was stamped in Black onto Chocolate Chip Cardstock and cut out with the Bear Hugs thinlits dies.  The fish were stamped in Archival Black and then painted with my aqua painters with Calypso Coral Ink.  The fish were cut out with the fish die from Bear Hugs as well.  I used a 1/8" hole punch to punch a hole through the mouth of the fish.  I ran some silver cording through them and tied them off.   So here's where I messed up.. I turned the card upside down on top of the grid paper that I had been sponging on and ended up smearing a little ink in the upper right corner and the lower left.   Not to worry.. I remembered I had an awesome stitched sun die from MFT so that covered up that upper right smear perfectly.  For the lower left.. well I made another fish and put it on a seperate line that I tied off through the bears paw.  Any mistake is an opportunity to embellish, right??  I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip Ink at the bottom and prayed it would end up straight.. It did!  lol

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and checking out my SIP design team card.  Hope you have a blessed day and have time to get inky!
Blessings, Tina

SIP Challenge #34 Love

Hello all!  Hope you are having a great week!  We are having a little more snow here in Middle Tennessee but hopefully it won't cause the problems the last snow storm caused.  I am really looking forward to Spring!  This week it's a Love theme over at Stamp, Ink, Paper.  I hope you'll head over and check it out and then link up your own love themed card!

I'm sharing a Valentine's Day card I made for my youngest granddaughter, Laken.  It's a slider card and I know she will love sliding that cute little bear around and letting him flip over and over.  I admit I had a little fun sliding and flipping him over as well. :)

This one started off with an A2 Thick Whisper White Cardstock base.  I layered a piece of Pink Pirouette onto Rose Red and ran them through my Big Shot with the retired Script Embossing Folder.  I used my Word Window Punch to punch out my slider tunnel.  To make the slider mechanism, you use two pennies with a dimensional sandwiched between them in the tunnel.  Then I placed a dimensional on the top penny before placing my little flipping bear on it. lol  I used the new Bear Hugs stamp set and coordinating framelits for my bears, hearts, and sentiment.  This was just a fun card and know Laken will have a lot of fun playing with it.
