Hello and Happy Hump Day! It's time for another Paper Craft Crew challenge and this is one that I believe everyone will love! It's an Spring in Bloom Inspiration Challenge.. how fun!
I just received my Timeless Tropical Bundle from Stampin' Up! so I couldn't wait to ink it up. It is a heavy sketch type of stamp and after looking at pretty much everything on Pinterest I decided to stamp it in a Melon Mambo and use my Stampin' Blends. I really love how it turned out!
For my background I used a piece of watercolor paper and Pigment Sprinkles in Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green for a watercolored background. I spritzed the watercolor paper with water first and added the Bermuda Bay towards the top of the panel and sprayed three or so more times to alow the color to move and then dried with my heat tool. I did the same thing on the bottom of the panel with the Granny Apple Green. Once it was completely dry I splattered a little bit of white paint on it and matted it in Whisper White. I stamped my flower onto Whisper White Cardstock in Melon Mambo. The leaves were stamped in Garden Green on Whisper White as well. I used light and dark Lovely Lipstick and Daffodil Delight Blends to color in the flower and Light and Dark Mossy Meadow to color in the leaves. I adhered the flower and leaves with Dimensionals. The "aloha" from the coordinating dies was cut out in Whisper White twice and adhered one on top of the other and then glued the layered aloha onto the upper right side of the card front panel. The matted floral layer was added to the Bermuda Bay top folding card base with Multipurpose Adhesive. To finished it off I added three sequins from the SAB freebie Metallic baker's twine and sequins combo pack. I adore how it turned out. I thought about adding another flower but the background was so striking that I hated to cover it up!
